This year the challenge was completed by 40 riders cycling 423 km (including 5000 meter vertical elevation) over 4 days through the beautiful landscapes between Oudomxai and Luang Prabang, via Houn, Hongsa and Sayabouri (route on Komoot)

The first Team Dai Challenge was completed in 2008.  Since then, Team Dai has raised more than 200,000 USD for local organizations supporting Lao people, including support to land mine removal operations, elephant conservation centres, women’s shelters, orphanages, schools, and hospitals. 

Team Dai is a non-registered group of individual cycling enthusiasts based in Vientiane capital.  The annual challenge is planned and executed by volunteers.  Funds are raised through corporate sponsorships and private donations. While riders cover all cost of the ride, 100% all funds raised are forwarded directly to the charity every year.  

Team Dai is very proud to announce the final amount of 30,500 USD raised for the Children’s Hospital in Vientiane.
