Team Dai Challenge December 2024

Friday, November 29 to Monday, December 2

From Muang Xay to Luang Prabang in support of the Children’s Hospital in Vientiane.

Join us for an unforgettable 4-day Team Dai adventure through the heart of northern Laos, all in support of a great cause! Starting in the highlands of Oudomxay, we’ll cycle 400km through stunning landscapes, from lush valleys to rugged hills, with a total of 4,600 meters of elevation. Along the way, we’ll experience authentic local culture, staying in welcoming guesthouses and savoring delicious Lao cuisine.

Our journey includes a unique slow boat ride on the Mekong River from Pakbeng before we continue cycling through Hongsa and Sayaboury, finally ending in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Luang Prabang. Whether you’re drawn by the challenge or the opportunity to make a difference, this tour promises an adventure you won’t forget.

Participation in the Challenge also means a committment to raising funds for our chosen charity. This year that is the Children’s Hospital in Vientiane.

Note: Registration has been closed.

Team Dai is pleased to announce that for our 2024 fundraising challenge we will be partnering with the Children’s Hospital in Vientiane.

Children’s Hospital

Since 2008, the Team Dai Cycling Team has organized its annual four-day cycling challenge to raise funds for local charities. This year, our riders are set to cycle over 400 km to support the cancer ward at the Children’s Hospital in Vientiane.

The Children’s Hospital provides treatment for over 200 children annually facing various cancers, including leukemia. To enhance their capabilities, the hospital urgently needs medical equipment for sterilization, infusion, and syringe pumps, totaling $10,000. Team Dai is dedicated to raising these funds.

From November 29 to December 2, 2024, approximately 25 riders will traverse the stunning landscapes of northern Laos, covering 4,600 meters of elevation from Pakbeng through Hongsa and Sayaboury, culminating in the UNESCO World Heritage city of Luang Prabang. We will be launching a fundraising campaign targeting private and corporate donors.
